1. The surface state of tungsten steel has a significant impact on its bending strength. In the process of manufacturing tungsten steel tools, various cracks on the surface should be prevented, otherwise it will have a significant impact on the bending strength of tungsten steel.
2. Tungsten steel has high brittleness and is temperature independent. At room temperature, the impact toughness of quenched steel is 1-2 times greater than that of tungsten steel. Therefore, impact compression of tungsten steel is not allowed when welding tungsten steel. Do not let them collide or be impacted during transportation.
3. It is important to understand the linear expansion coefficient of tungsten steel, which is more than twice that of high-speed steel. When tungsten steel is welded with high-speed steel, due to the difference in linear expansion coefficient between tungsten steel and high-speed steel, the stress on the inner and outer layers is different when cooled by the welded mold, resulting in inward tensile stress on the surface. After welding, measures should be taken to eliminate stress, otherwise tungsten steel will produce cracks or desoldering.
