Carbide petroleum accessorie are key components made of tungsten carbide and used in oil and gas drilling, production, and completion operations. Known as the “teeth” and “joints” of the oil industry for their exceptional performance, these accessories are essential high-end consumables in modern oil and gas exploration and development.

Cemented carbide accessories run through almost the entire process of the oil industry and can be mainly divided into the following categories:

1. Drilling Accessories

This is the most widely used type and is directly responsible for breaking rocks.

● Roller drill bit teeth/ball teeth: embedded in the cone surface of the roller drill bit, they are the tips that directly contact and crush the rock.

● PDC drill bit composite sheet: The matrix of polycrystalline diamond composite sheet (PDC) is cemented carbide. It perfectly combines the ultra-high wear resistance of diamond with the toughness of cemented carbide, and is the core component of modern high-efficiency drill bits.

● Scraper bit blade: A wear-resistant block welded to the drill bit scraper blade that assists in cutting and protects the blade.

2. Downhole Tool Accessories

Used in various downhole tools to ensure their reliability and life.

● Nozzle: Installed on the drill bit or tool, it is used to spray high-speed drilling fluid to clean the bottom of the well and assist in rock breaking. It requires extremely high wear resistance to resist erosion by abrasives in the drilling fluid.

● Stabilizer pad: embedded in the outer wall of the drill bit stabilizer, it plays the role of straightening the drill bit and preventing well deviation, and can withstand severe friction and wear.

● Cylinder liner and plunger: used in drilling pumps and other equipment to transport drilling fluid under high pressure, requiring extremely high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

● Bearing parts: balls, rollers, etc. used as rolling or sliding bearings in some special drill bits or tools.

3. Completion and production accessories

● Valve seat and valve ball: used in downhole safety valves, throttle valves and other control equipment, which need to maintain sealing and long service life in high pressure and sand-containing fluids.

● Pump accessories: such as wear-resistant parts in electric submersible pumps (ESP).
